The MARTOR SECUNORM 540 is a robust, highly specialised safety knife designed for cutting thick and demanding materials. With a maximum cutting depth of 36mm, it is particularly suitable for applications involving foam, polystyrene, paper rolls and bagged goods. It can also cut materials including up to 3-ply cardboard, wrapping and stretch film, plastic strapping, PVC, fleece, layers of foil or paper, tape, yarn, cord and textiles.

The knife features an aluminium handle that is robust, ergonomic and suitable for both right- and left-handed users. Its large, grooved slider provides a secure grip, including when wearing gloves. A lanyard hole also allows the knife to be secured against loss.

For added safety, the automatic blade retraction system retracts the blade into the handle as soon as the slider is released after the blade leaves the cutting material. The blade-changing system provides easy access to the blade, which is held securely in place by a magnet during replacement.

The SECUNORM 540 is supplied with 1 x STYROPOR BLADE NO. 7940 installed. The compatible replacement blade is MARTOR STYROPOR BLADE NO. 7940, Order No. 7940.60, supplied in packs of 10 blades.
